THE BEAUTY OF MARTIAL ARTS
Posted: December 08, 2015
The Martial Arts are widely know for their strength and discipline, but here at Karate Atlanta, we like to make sure our students know about the beauty of these skills as well. When you take Martial Arts classes in Alpharetta, you will be enjoying the beauty of movement, the beauty of discipline, the beauty of a new culture, and the beauty of deeper bonds.
The Beauty of Movement
There is something in the movements of Karate and Taekwondo that are inherently beautiful. Of course, they are strong and impressive. These are movements of battle and war and they are meant to be intimidating, which they are. The beauty of the movements comes in seeing how much discipline and control it takes to complete these moves.
The Beauty of Discipline
One of the main tenets of our Martial Arts classes is self-discipline. Success in many arenas can only come through the struggle to get the human mind to control the human body, and not the other way around. As our students learn how to gain this control, there is a certain element of beauty that comes into their demeanor and level of confidence. This is becoming increasingly rare in this day and age and can be a good thing to expose your kids to.
The Beauty of Culture
There are a number of Asian cultures that we teach about as we introduce the different skills in our Karate courses. We share the elements of these different countries because they are so drastically different from what we experience here in this country. Children especially gain a lot from learning some of the beautiful things about other cultures. This can widen their world view and will allow them gain curiosity about the world around them.
The Beauty of Relationships
When you work so hard to gain certain skills and accomplishments, you can’t help but create some important bonds with the people around you. We have seen deep friendships made and strengthened here. We have seen married couples become closer together. We have watched siblings go from fighting to working together as a team. Seeing these relationships form and deepen is one of the most beautiful things we are able to witness here.
If you feel like you or your children need some more exposure to beautiful things of this nature, then let us begin that journey with you. Strength and agility are important, and we can help with gaining both of those things. However, we are proud to know that we will also be offering you some beautiful experiences as well.
